This study presents a Literature Review for better understanding Peer Assessment using digital technologies in Higher Education. It was possible to identify that already exist technologies for this type of evaluation and that software properly designed for it has been developed; teacher-training courses are using Online Peer Assessment (OPA) strategies. Online Peer Assessment methods of evaluation accentuate competencies, such as organization and peer's distribution, and anonymousness. It is considered that more and more studies about this theme have been arising, bringing along challenges, weaknesses and contributions. One of the challenges is related to faculty support in the process' development and evaluation's anonymity. Furthermore, this strategy of evaluation, according to authors researched, increases students' autonomy, collaboration, and autoregulation proving, indeed, an "assessment for learning". Online Peer Assessment, considerably, is an evaluative resource that contributes to reflection and systematization of student learning, adding values to the teaching repertoire.
