Bagaimana Bullying Menjadi Budaya yang Tidak Disadari oleh Siswa: Dinamika Komunikasi Budaya Negatif

Abstract

Article history Menerima Revisi Diterima Bullying in the school environment is often perceived as deviant individual behavior. However, in practice, this behavior can develop into an unconscious part of school culture. This study aims to examine how the dynamics of communication between students can shape and maintain an unconscious bullying culture. The research was conducted using a qualitative approach through observation and in-depth interviews with students and teachers in a secondary school. The results show that communication norms full of crude jokes, stereotypes, and disproportionate use of social power have become part of students' social culture. The findings suggest that bullying often goes unrecognized because it is wrapped in humor or considered part of the social adaptation process. Critical awareness of these communication patterns is essential in an effort to create a healthy and inclusive learning environment. This is an open access article under the CC?BY-SA 4.0 license.
