In older patients with comorbidities, hip fractures are both an important and debilitating condition. Since multimodal and multidisciplinary perioperativestrategies can hasten functional recovery after surgery improving clinicaloutcomes, the choice of the most effective and safest pathway represents a greatchallenge.
