Abstract

From the aerial parts of Scutellaria discolor Colebr., Two new flavones (I and II) were isolated together with chrysin, wogonin, apigenin, luteolin, 5,7-dihydroxy-8,2'-dimethoxyflavone, 5,7,4’-trihydroxy-8-methoxyflavone, 5,7-dihydroxy-8,2'-trimethoxyflavone and chrysin 7-O-glucuro-nide. Compounds I and II were identified as 5,7,8-trihydroxyflavone 8-0-β-D-glucuronopyranoside and 5,7,2',6'-tetrahydroxy-8-methoxyflavone 2’-0-β-D-(2-0-cafTeoyl)glucopyranoside, based on spectral and chemical data. © 1988, The Pharmaceutical Society of Japan.
