Abstract

A facile and scalable preparation of aqueous solutions of isolated, sparingly graphene sheets from low-temperature expanded graphite by liquid-phase method is reported. And the influence of expansion temperature on the property of graphene sheets in expanded graphite is discussed by several characterization methods. The TEM scans also indicate that graphene sheets exfoliated from expanded graphite has been restored to an extended conjugated sp2 network. © 2009 IOP Publishing Ltd.
