Importancia de las TIC para la Enseñanza de las Matemáticas en la Edad Escolar en Latinoamérica: Revisión Literaria

Abstract

Las Tecnologías de la Información y Comunicación hoy en día ha sido uno de los sectores más relevantes en la actualidad y permiten una comunicación eficiente, rápida y clara entre diversos miembros de una misma organización, favoreciendo sectores vitales como la educación, el trabajo, entre otros. Debido a esto, la presente investigación tiene como tema de interés investigar las TIC y resaltar su importancia para la enseñanza de las matemáticas en la edad escolar en Latinoamérica y como las TIC han llegado a ser una herramienta útil para el personal docente, para el desarrollo de este proyecto se recopilaron estudios realizados en los últimos años relacionados con las TIC y la enseñanza de las matemáticas, en los cuales se hizo una revisión literaria para determinar la importancia de éstas, en cuanto a los resultados fueron muy variables, éstos generaron diferentes puntos de vista sobre el papel de las TIC en la educación. Se encontró que algunos estudios afirmaban que el uso de las TIC puede mejorar el aprendizaje y el rendimiento académico de los estudiantes, y en numerosas ocasiones han demostrado tener un impacto positivo en la enseñanza y aprendizaje, no solo de las matemáticas, sino también de otras áreas. Finalmente se llegó a la conclusión que las TIC son herramientas que favorecen un mejor proceso de enseñanza y aprendizaje en los estudiantes.Information and Communication Technologies nowadays has been one of the most relevant sectors nowadays and allow an efficient, fast and clear communication between different members of the same organization, favoring vital sectors such as education, work, among others. Due to this, the present research has as a topic of interest to investigate ICT and highlight its importance for the teaching of mathematics at school age in Latin America and how ICT have become a useful tool for teachers, for the development of this project studies were collected in recent years related to ICT and the teaching of mathematics, in which a literatura review was done to determine the importance of these, as for the results were very variable, these generated different points of view on the role of ICT in education. It was found that some studies affirmed that the use of ICTs can improve students' learning and academic performance, and on numerous occasions they have shown to have a positive impact on teaching and learning, not only in mathematics, but also in other areas. Finally, it was concluded that ICTs are tools that favor a better teaching and learning process in students.
