Abstract

The numerical methodology for multi-phase field model has been presented in association with calculation of phase diagram. Calculations for FA-mode solidification of stainless steel were performed in conditions of multi-component and multi-phase alloy. It was confirmed that differences of residual δ-phase contents between several cooling rate conditions were in agreement with experimental measurements. © 2009 The Japan Institute of Metals.
