CHINA’S MARITIME STRATEGY

Abstract

In this article, the author comments on China's aspirations to become a global power. The author examines the maritime strategies that China might employ and the how it could influence the regional geo-strategic architecture. It is opined that China is following an ambitious maritime expansion course to increase its power-projection capabilities in territorial waters, particularly in North Asia, South-east Asia, the South-west Pacific and the South Pacific.
