Abstract
Professor Bruce Lloyd, South Bank University and Thomas A. Stewart, author of The Wealth of Knowledge, discuss issues associated with leadership and knowledge management. In Stewart's book, he outlines a four step process for turning knowledge into action: 1. do a knowledge budget, or set of accounts, or value chain, 2. define the knowledge flows in the organization, 3. identify the assets associated with these flows, and 4. evaluate how to exploit these assets more effectively. In the context of this framework other areas are explored, such as the historic context, as well as the role of leadership and its vital link with strategy. In addition, the issues of Knowledge is Power and the Role of Wisdom are also considered.
