Abstract

This research was carried out in hotels established in the state of Hidalgo, Mexico, and its objective was to validate the influence exerted by competitive strategy, competitive rivalry, and customer orientation on the organizational performance of these companies. Using the multivariate technique of structural equation modeling based on covariance, and according to the information collected in 235 hotels, a positive and significant influence was confirmed between the three aforementioned variables with organizational performance. In this way, this research provides empirical evidence on this relationship, in the context of developing countries, while collaborating in the field of research that measures organizational performance through non-financial or subjective measures.
