Abstract

An efficient and greener protocol for the synthesis of 12-aryl-8,9,10,12- tetrahydrobenzo[a]xanthen-11-one using tetradecyltri-methylammonium bromide (TTAB) at room temperature in water is described. © 2011 Shinde et al; licensee Beilstein-Institut.
