Situación actual de los sitios web de las bibliotecas de la UNAM

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to explore the current state of the library websites from the Library and Information System of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (SIBIUNAM). To achieve this goal, each site listed on the website of the General Directorate of Libraries was analyzed, considering two main aspects: design-usability, and contents-services. As an additional point, the use of web 2.0 technologies and services was also reviewed. The results are presented in a chart which allows to compare the information on each library website, and thus giving a clear idea of the present situation of the web services in the SIBIUNAM as a whole, and also allowing to know the particular cases where the web-available tools are best used in the library daily work.
