Abstract

The stratigraphic distribution of 39 diatom species is documented in a 2m-thick interval in Cores 4 and 5 of Hole 524 in the northern Cape Basin. The interval is dated as late Paleocene (Zone NP9) by the associated calcareous nannofossils.-from Author
