Abstract

Stress corrosion cracking (SCC) or stress corrosion is one of the most dangerous types of damage in chemical, oil and gas industry, as well as in processing, nuclear, heat and power, metallurgical, shipbuilding and other industries. Corrosion cracking of pipelines under stress (stress corrosion) is the main source of emergency incidents (emergencies) mainly in gas main pipelines. This type of corrosion is widely known and very dangerous.
