GREEN JOBS IN THE CONSTRUCTION SECTOR: A BIBLIOMETRIC ANALYSIS OF GREEN RESEARCH CHALLENGES

Abstract

The aim of the research was to identify key green research areas in scientific publications addressing green jobs and the construction sector at the same time. To achieve such a goal, bibliometric analyses of scientific publications were carried out from two databases, which were Scopus and Web of Science. As a result of the analyses, 29 green research areas were identified, which were indicated in at least two different scientific publications. The originality of the study was that, in addition to bibliometric analysis focused on authors' keywords, the entire content of scientific publications was analysed, which allowed additional conclusions to be drawn. Interesting future green research directions were identified that are not currently addressed in the context of green jobs in the construction sector. Among such research directions, attention was paid to golden-green jobs, the green skills gap, the process of forming green competencies of construction sector employees, or the phenomena of pushing green jobs workers into green self-employment.
