Abstract

The present study consists of an integrative review of researches investigating coping with childhood cancer, with emphasis on intervention proposals aimed at favoring it. A bibliographic search was performed in the following databases: Web of Science, PubMed, and PsychNet. Eighty studies were selected since they met the general inclusion criteria and 22 studies within the specific focus of the intervention proposals. The intervention studies evaluated the results of the interventions or the intervention itself, discussing specific aspects of the interventions, and evaluating their viability. All the studies evaluated the proposed intervention as viable, most of which reported benefits to the participants, which highlights the relevance of the initiatives.
