Abstract

We share a protocol for gas chromatography (GC)-mass spectrometry (MS)-based metabolomic analyses that was developed to evaluate mature rice seeds. The protocol consists of six sections (I. Extraction; ll. Preparation of fatty acid methyl esters; lll. Derivatization; IV. Chromatography and mass spectrometry; V. Data transformation; and VI. Metabolite identification).
