Abstract

Lymphocyte migration into tumors remains poorly understood, despite the critical impact of these cells on cancer clinical outcome. Our recent study demonstrates the presence of blood vessels specialized in lymphocyte recruitment called high endothelial venules (HEVs) in human solid tumors and their correlation with lymphocyte infiltration and favorable prognosis in breast cancer. © 2012 Landes Bioscience.
