Yerel Yönetimlerde Kamu Denetçiliği: İngiltere Yerel Yönetim Ombudsmanlığı

Abstract

The ombusman institution is an independent objective supervision institution that protects citizens against the arbitrary sides of administration.The ombusman institution has taken a juridical status with the name of public auditor in 2010 by the change of law in Turkey. After then law 6328 it was established by law in 2012 but the ombudsman institution is a general one in Turkey, local government ombudsman wasn't established even though it had many successful results in control of administration in many countries. It is obvious that when we examine different countries' samples ombudsman will have many advantages in solving the problems between citizens and local governments. In this study within the frame of local government ombudsman in England and his activities the possible effects of establishing a local government ombudsman in Turkey will be discussed.
