On the effective-medium approximation for bond-percolation conductivity

Abstract

The effective-medium approximation of Landauer and Kirkpatrick (1973) is extended for bond-percolation conductivity by taking into account clusters of increasing size. In the three-bonds approximation exact results for the critical probabilities of the matching 2D triangular and honeycomb lattices are obtained.
