Abstract
Recently, within the field of clinical behavior analysis, there has been growing interest in the role of verbal behavior in the etiology and maintenance of psychopathology. As such, a number of individuals have written about the impact of “acceptance” on a variety of clinical phenomenon (Hayes, et al., 1994). This paper examines the possible role of acceptance vs. non-acceptance within chronic pain populations. (PsycINFO Database Record (c) 2016 APA, all rights reserved)
