GAMBARAN STRES AKADEMIK PADA MAHASISWA UNIVERSITAS NUSA NIPA INDONESIA DI MAUMERE

Abstract

Stres akademik merupakan perasaan frustasi, tekanan atau cemas yang dialami mahasiswa karenakonflik beban tugas yang banyak dan juga tuntutan-tuntutan dari dosen maupun orang tua yangmengharuskan mahasiswa untuk mendapatkan nilai atau prestasi yang tinggi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untukmengetahui gambaran stres akademik pada mahasiswa di Universitas Nusa Nipa Indonesia. Populasi dalamdalam penelitian ini adalah 5.273 mahasiswa Universitas Nusa Nipa Indonesia. Sampel dalam penelitian iniadalah 200 orang. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan sampel insidental. Jenis penelitian ini adalahpenelitian kuantitatif deskriptif. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan skala stres akademik dari Bisht.Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan 52,5% dalam kategori sedang, 37,5% masuk dalam kategori rendah, dan10,5% masuk dalam kategori tinggi yang berarti mahasiswa di Universitas Nusa Nipa Indonesia masihbanyak yang mengalami stres akademik.Kata Kunci: Stres akademik, mahasiswa, Universitas Nusa Nipa Indonesia. Academic stress is a feeling of frustration, pressure, of anxiety experienced by students because ofthe many conflicting workloads and demands from lecturers and parents that require studens to get highgrades or achievements. The purpose of this research is to determine the description of academic stress onstudents at the University Nusa Nipa Indonesia. The population in this research was 5,273 studens of theUniversity of Nusa Nipa Indonesia. The sample in this research was 200 people. The sampling techniqueused incidental sampling. This type of research was descriptive quantitative research. The data collectionmethod used the academic stress scale from Bisht. The results of this research incidented that 52.5% was inthe medium category, 37.5% was in a low category, and 10.5% was in the high category. It means that manystudents at the University of Nusa Nipa Indonesia still encountered academic stress.Keywords: Academic stress, studends, studens at the University of Nusa Nipa Indonesia.
