Abstract

Our goal is to discuss possible approximations between two approaches that have been basing analysis regarding the modes of subjectivity: the genealogy and cartography. We highlight the strategies of problematization present in each approach, emphasizing the notions of genesis, discontinuity and discrepancy at the first lag, as well as the notion of rhizome in the second. The proposed approximation is based on the discussion of time's concept. The nodal point refers to the understanding that both approaches do not seek in history, or in present time, the effectuation of the states of affairs, but rather seek to underline the strengths, its potential, creative possibilities and risks of capture. We present examples of how these methodological strategies have operated in a research that preceded an analysis of net configurations in the mental health field. The proposed discussion provides grants for the creation of new possibilities of knowledge production in Social Psychology.
