Synthesis of naphthyloxy derivatives of imidazole, benzimidazole and benzotriazole as potential biologically active agents.

Abstract

Naphthyloxy derivs. of imidazole, benzimidazole and benzotriazoles, e.g., I, were synthesized and screened for their antimicrobial, analgesic and antiinflammatory activities. It was found that β-naphthyloxy derivs. are comparatively more active than α-naphthyloxy derivs. [on SciFinder(R)]
