Abstract

The eight-channel fast comparator IC has been designed for high-energy physics experiments. The propagation delay is 15-36 ns and will be decreased to 7-11 ns. The output front/trailing edges are 2.2 ns and 1.8 ns at matched 110 Ω load. Dissipated power equals 84 mW/channel. The circuit current output can drive 30 m flat ribbon cable or twisted pair line terminated by differential line driver DS90C031.
