Abstract

The evolution of new therapy and more satisfactory management of lupus erythematosus has made a significant change in the prognosis of the disease. Obviously, however, there is still a great deal to be desired in offering the patient a better quality of life from day to day, and there are still a few instances where therapy has not been capable of staying the relentless course of the disease. It is apparent, that with an established diagnosis of lupus, a patient can look forward to the delivery of better care, a much improved prognosis, some or even great improvement in his quality of life, and a more enlightened physician and pharmacist to bring these things to him.
