Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine the results or responses of students after using interactive multimedia-based mathematics learning media using software. The research method used in this study is a qualitative research method. And the data collection method used was interviews with students at SMP IT Jabal Noor Medan. The findings or results of this study indicate that before using interactive multimedia learning students understanding of mathematics material is still lacking or weak, because teachers explain concepts or learning materials using conventional or monotonous teaching methods. However, after using interactive multimedia, students understanding of mathematics increased. So by utilizing software in interactive multimedia for learning mathematics, it can provide convenience for teachers or instructors in providing learning materials to students. So that it can make it easier for students to understand the material being taught, because the learning system is carried out by utilizing various media that are already available on the computer. This will increase students interest in mathematics and increase their motivation to learn it. Based on this, it can be concluded that after the use of interactive multimedia that utilizes software in learning mathematics, students learning motivation or enthusiasm for learning and their ability to learn mathematics can improve well.
