Abstract
Dialkyldiazirine photoaffinity probes are unparalleled tools for the study of small molecule-protein interactions. Here we summarize the basic principles of structure, bonding, and photoreactivity of dialkyldiazirines, current methods for their synthesis, and their practical application in photoaffinity labeling experiments.
