Abstract

Shows sporadic recruitment of juveniles even in adjacent inlets. Settlement in Grappler Inlet but not in Bamfield Inlet. Eight predators were tested only Pycnopodia preyed on Asterina. Recruitment originated from local population. Settlement affected primarily by pre-settlement and early post settlement events rather than migration or juvenile mortality.
