Abstract
[Abstract] Objectives : Thepurposeofthisstudywastoanalyzethecomponentsoftheclinicallyusedbee venom(BV)pharmacopuncture. Methods : Twokindsofbeevenompharmacopuncture(BV-IandII),threekindsofseparatepu-rificationBV(SPBV)pharmacopuncture(SPBV-I,II,andIII),andapitoxinwereinvestigatedin thisstudy.Weperformedacomponentanalysisofmelittin,apamin,andphospholipaseA 2 usinghigh-performanceliquidchromatography(HPLC). Results : 1.BV-Icontainedapproximately40%moremelittinthanBV-IIdid. 2.InthethreeseparatepurificationBVpharmacopuncture,SPBV-I,SPBV-II,andSPBV-III, phospholipaseA 2 contentdecreasedremarkably. 3.ThemelittincontentinSPBV-Iincreasedby5%comparedtothatinBV-I. 4.TheamountofmelittininapitoxinwassimilartothatinSPBV-I.
