Abstract
A specific group of proteins – enzymes, characterized by similar chemical properties are isoenzymes (Hunter & Markert, 1957, Tanskley & Orton, 1983, Goncharenko, 1988, Mejnartowicz, 1990, Sulkowska, 1995). They are characterized by similar chemical, structural and catalytic properties almost identical within their functional group. They are characterized the same function in cell reactions, however they are products of different genes (described as allozymes).
