Abstract

I am going to attempt here a comparison between Morita therapy and psychoanalysis. Before doing so, a brief exposition of Morita therapy would be required. After describing what Morita therapy is like, I will try to interpret Morita therapy in terms of psychoanalytic language. I mean by this an interpretation of the psychodynamics of what takes place in Morita therapy. Then I will speculate on the philosophy behind Morita therapy or rather its cultural background. Lastly, in the light of what we learn about Morita therapy, I will venture to reexamine psychoanalysis and raise a few questions about it.
