Konsepsi Iman Menurut al-Baiḍāwi dalam Tafsir Anwār at-Tanz ̅ il wa Asra ̅ r at-Ta’wi ̅ l

Abstract

This library research aims to describe al-Baidạ̄ wi’s conception of the term i̅ma̅n ‘belief’ in his exegesis Anwār at-Tanz̅il wa Asra̅r at-Ta’wi̅l. This article belongs to the philosophical research and factual history model because the object of the research is the philosophical conception of the exegesis. The findings of the research show that i̅ma̅n in al-Baiḍāwi’s opinion is part of heart activities concepted as recognition and credence to the doctrine of prophet MuhammadSawespecially about i̅ma̅n ‘belief in’ the occult thing dimly. Although this conception of belief (i̅ma̅n) is definitely similar to the language context of the term but it is not totally the same because al-Baiḍāwi attempted to connect the term beyond in. Therefore, it is the real evidence of al-al-Baiḍāwi’s inconsistent conception of i̅ma̅n because it contradicts with his own prerequisites.
