Abstract

The Latin American Public Food Policy is of great relevance in the region, especially within the framework of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. Its objective is to analyze the implementation and impact of the Latin American Public Food Policy within the context of the 2030 Agenda, evaluating its effectiveness in improving food and nutritional security in the region. Data was gathered from various sources such as international reports and government policies, conducting a comparative analysis of programs in different countries. Aspects such as agricultural production, food distribution, nutrition education, and stakeholder participation were considered. The results showed significant progress, with increased availability and access to nutritious food, as well as the implementation of effective education programs. Furthermore, a decrease in malnutrition rates was observed in some countries. However, challenges remain, including inequality in food access and the impacts of climate change on agricultural production. Strengthening collaboration among stakeholders and continued implementation of effective policies and programs are necessary. In conclusion, the Latin American Public Food Policy, within the framework of the 2030 Agenda, has had a positive impact on improving food and nutritional security in the region. To achieve the goals set in the 2030 Agenda, addressing remaining challenges and strengthening collaboration among different stakeholders is crucial. This will ensure adequate food for all Latin Americans and promote a sustainable future in terms of food and nutrition
