A new approach to Gehring's Lemma

Abstract

We give a new approach to Gehring's Lemma using interpolation theory and the theory of indices associated to submultiplicative functions. Concrete applications are given. Guided by interpolation theoretical methods a suitable modification of the Hardy-Littlewood maximal operator is used to prove a version of Gehring's Lemma for non doubling measures.
