Abstract

Metal-organic framework nanotubes (MOFNTs) are achieved by a strategy in which MOF nanorods formed initially act as a self-sacrificing template for the formation of the final MOFNTs. The fluorescent MOFNTs obtained exhibit high sensitivity, significant selectivity, and a fast response rate for the reversible vapor-phase detection of nitroaromatic explosives. © 2012 WILEY-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co.
