Abstract
This conceptual paper explores the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in digital and applied humanities through a philosophical and phenomenological inquiry. Employing Max van Manen's "Phenomenology of Practice" (2016), the study uses a comprehensive literature review as its data source. By engaging with firsthand experiences and diverse perspectives, the research critically examines AI's potential to foster collaboration between the fields while addressing epistemological, ontological, and ethical implications. The inquiry contributes to ongoing discourse on AI's impact in the humanities by promoting cross-disciplinary collaboration, intellectual growth, and social justice. This phenomenological exploration offers valuable insights into the transformative potential of AI integration in digital and applied humanities.
