Abstract

The article discusses the applicability of participatory budgeting in the U.S., where citizens can directly and freely decide how to allocate part of the country's budget. It mentions on the possibility to implement such program regardless of the city governments' wealth and well-staffed offices. It also provides information on countries that follow the program including Canada, where it allows emersion in its major provinces resulting to major developments.
