Abstract
This review delves into the increasingly intertwined realms of machine learning and sensor technology, particularly spotlighting their convergence in medical and related fields. The recent upsurge in recognition of computer technology, in tandem with rapid strides in hardware, has catapulted machine learning to the forefront of innovation. Sensor technology, while a more mature field, continues to evolve, solidifying its crucial role in medical and biological research. The paper offers a comprehensive examination of existing sensor technologies, focusing on how their integration with machine learning not only overcomes traditional limitations but also significantly boosts their capabilities. This symbiosis enhances data accuracy, interpretation, and utility, paving the way for groundbreaking applications in diagnostics, monitoring, and treatment. However, despite these advancements, the fusion of machine learning with sensor technology is not without challenges. Issues such as data privacy, algorithmic bias, and the need for extensive training datasets are among the critical concerns that need addressing. Looking forward, the review contemplates potential future directions, including the development of more sophisticated algorithms, improved sensor accuracy, and the integration of these technologies into more personalized and accessible healthcare solutions. The convergence of machine learning and sensor technology, while still in its early stages, holds vast potential for transforming medical practices and fostering broader scientific discovery.
