Review of web authentication

Abstract

In the server situation of web security, a large number of Web sites and users are under the threat of network attacks. Fortunately, a complete authentication system can effectively protect them from some attacks. With the help of the authentication system, web sites can identify their users correctly and then decide whether to provide the corresponding services. The web authentication system is mainly constructed by the credential and the authentication strategy, the credential symbolizes identity and the authentication strategy judges the authenticity of identity. This paper will analyse and discuss some related literature and research findings of credentials and authentication strategies in the world, grasp overall direction, and look forward to the development of web authentication.
