Abstract

The present article analyses the paradox of the business productivity of the use of information technologies (IT) by examining the impact of the devices and functionalities on the financial yield of the consultant companies. The investigation is of correlational non-experimental type, of traverse court and of deductive logic. The use of computers, internet, mobile devices, electronic trade, adoption of the page web, calculation in the cloud and software of open code, on the results of the companies, were analyzed. Data were collected by means of the survey method and through a questionnaire directed to the owners and managers of 254 companies. The results contrast the paradox of the productivity of the TI and it concludes that the mobile devices, the adoption of place web, the use of software of open code and the technology in the cloud, positively influence productivity of the Ecuadorian consultant companies.
