Abstract

Abstract The Cover Feature shows the structures of important extractable and leachable components of elastomeric closures; the type used by the pharmaceutical industry in injection systems such as stoppers and caps. Their structures have been confirmed by de novo synthesis for the first time, starting from isophorone and employing novel organosulfur chemistry.
