Abstract
The present work attempts to contribute in the task of attaining conceptual precision in the consideration of space and human movement from a phenomenological perspective. Maurice Merleau-Ponty's lucid reflections serve as our theoretical horizon. The distinction between a spatiality of situation and a spatiality of position, is analyzed and its limitations are critically reviewed. The notion of posture is proposed as a descriptive complement that allows us to extend Merleau-Ponty's reflection about movement to the motor phenomena of dexterous and trained agents.
