Abstract
Some controversy has arisen over statements made recently in this JOURNAL about wound dressings, cavity fillings, and boring holes in trees. Some quotations from other researchers are given here as support for the statements. Often what is considered new is really a restatement of older information. Or sound older information may be combined with information from recent studies to form conclusions that can be considered new.
