Abstract

An explosion of developments in science and medicine is occurring that holds great promise for those affected by bipolar disorder. In this book the author relates this good news. The author hopes to address some of the reasons why individuals are reluctant to enter treatment and dissuade some from stopping treatment against medical advice. This compassionate and comprehensive guide has helped hundreds of thousands of people cope with bipolar disorder. This, the second edition of the book, is thoroughly updated with new options for diagnosis and treatment along with information on the genetics of the disease.
