O rolamento freado do magneto na rampa: Uma interessante aplicação da lei de Faraday-Lenz

Abstract

An interesting Faraday-Lenz law application, consisting in letting cylindrical magnets roll down on a aluminium inclined plan is presented. Besides the electromagnetic braking of the rolling magnets, an unexpected effect with causes the magnet deviation from the edge of the ramp is exhibited. We show that this movement can be experimentally studied, even its accelerated phase, with a digital camera. © by the Sociedade Brasileira de Fsíca.
