Abstract
This research examines the teaching and learning process, facilities and challenges at SD Brajan and SD N 1 Padokan, Yogyakarta, through observations and interviews. The second school implements the student-centered Merdeka Belajar Curriculum, with a focus on developing character and basic skills through project-based methods. The research results show that this curriculum provides freedom for students and teachers, improves literacy and numeracy skills, and creates a conducive learning environment. The qualitative approach provided an in-depth understanding of effective learning strategies and practices at both schools.
