Abstract

The aerial part of Thymus cilicicus Linn. (Labiatae) has afforded two new hydroxy chalcone derivatives, characterized as 4, 2′, 4′, 6′, 7, 8-hexahydroxy-7 (8)-dihydro-chalcone (1), and 3,4, 2′, 4′, 6′, 7, 8-heptahydroxy-7 (8)-dihydro-chalcone (2). The structures of the isolated compounds have been elucidated based on various spectral studies. © 2007 Verlag der Zeitschrift für Naturforschung.
