Abstract

This research aims to improve students' learning outcomes in class X MPLB 3 SMK Negeri 3 Surakarta by applying direct instruction with peer tutors' learning model on office technology elements. This research is classroom action research (CAR) with two cycles. Each cycle consisted of planning, action, observation, evaluation, and reflection. The research subjects were teachers of office technology elements and students of class X MPLB 3 SMK Negeri 3 Surakarta, totaling 34 students. The data sources used in this research are primary and secondary. Primary data comes from informants, teachers, and students, and then from events, namely teaching and learning activities. Secondary data comes from documents used in research. Data collection techniques are observation, interviews, documentation, and performance training. Data analysis techniques using critical techniques and comparative descriptive statistics techniques. This research indicates that student learning outcomes have increased with each cycle. Before the implementation of the action, the learning outcomes of students who completed it were 6 students, with a percentage of 17,65%. The learning outcomes of students in cycle 1 increased to 24 students who passed with a percentage of 70.59%. Student learning outcomes in cycle 2 increased again, with 100% of students achieving completeness.
