Abstract

Abstract: Aspirin is 2-acetoxy benzoic acid. It is one of the derivatives of Benzoic acid. It is white crystalline fine powder. Aspirin is acetylated product. This drug is under non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug in which they block cyclooxygenase receptor by inhibiting COX pathway. The drug can block the production of prostaglandin derivative. Therefore they can be used as an analgesic cum antiinflammatory.
